A Caring Way of Life

This 12-minute DVD presentation of the leagcy of cattle in Colorado is provided free to teachers by the Colorado Beef Council.

Why use this DVD?:

  • Illustrates how ranchers manage renewable resources through conservation in ways that improve and preserve ecosystems
  • Demonstrates the economic impact of Colorado’s agriculture industry

Colorado Agricultural Leadership Foundation (CALF)

CALF's mission is Connecting People to Agriculture through authentic educational programs, community projects, and special events. Located near Castle Rock in Douglas County, CALF operates on the 133-acre Lowell Ranch. Their goals include:

  • Sustaining and maintaining the Lowell Ranch as a premier working agricultural education center
  • Promoting participation in agricultural activities such as 4-H and FFA livestock and gardening projects
  • Providing real life educational experiences that align with Douglas County School District and state standards of education
